Hi all,
Well we have had a good response from people wanting to head up the hill this weekend. It should be a cracker of a booze up / work up.
We will be meeting at the UCSA car park outside the main doors at 7am on Saturday morning. If you have a car bring it along, we will fill up the cars with people and if there are any cars left they can be taken home or left in the car park. We will be back on Monday afternoon.
All your food is sorted but you need to bring a few things…
1, Polyprops or icebreakers… bring up a set top and bottom.
2, Beer
3, Some wet weather gear like ski pants and a jacket.
4, Wine
5, A sleeping bag and pillow case
6, whiskey
7, Some lounging gear like jeans or whatever
7.5, Rum
8, towel and toiletry’s (don’t forget your toothbrush)
9, A decent pair of shoes, hiking boots if you have them.
10, Some cash for your drivers petrol ($10~20)
There is also a small contingent coming back on Sunday. Also a crack team is coming up on Sunday morning and leaving on Monday.
Get ready for some fun times!
Cheers
Dave
P.S. You will be getting your work tickets for free skiing before temple opens this year, that includes any tickets from last year.
P.P.S If you want to come and haven’t signed up yet give us a e-mail so we know your coming!
Hi Guys,
This weekend is Queens birthday when we have one of the major work parties for the year. The main goal of the weekend is to put the ropes up for the lifts and there’ll be a bunch of other stuff. WE leave on Sat morning and come back Mon day arvo. Food is provided so you only need to bring alcohol pay some gas $$. Its always an awesome weekend and a chance to grab 3 work tickets to make the skiing cheaper. There’ll be a desk on wednesday in front of the library between 1145 and 1 15 to put your name down for the weekend and for people to sign up to the club. Or flick me an email to say your coming.
And don’t forget to bring your mates, sign them up to the club and get them to come, the more the merrier. More info will be hitting your inbox this week.
Cheers
Brad
goon goon goon goon goon
Well the BYO was a success with heaps of clubbies turning up for a veritable feast of Asian delights. To the disappointment of all no-one (patty) brought goon but some fine wine was drunk by all, turning the night into a quite dinner to a massive one at the pub. I was dead on Friday….

On Sunday some campaginers got up mentally early to go pour the foundation for the bridge which we are repairing. Aparently theres nothing quite like pushing a car and trailer up porters pass with 1/2 a ton of concrete in it. Once there all the tools and stuff went up the goods lift and we drove/wandered up the hill. Rock holes where drilled, steel caging made and a fantasmic foundation was poured to the joy of the civil engineer there whilst battling the cold and a little snow. We are hoping to finish the bridge off on queens birthday weekend.

Speaking of queens birthday weekend, its coming up on Saturday. More info to come….

Hello,
As you can see from the calender we are planing to have a club dinner on Thursday 22nd may.
The idea is so we can get together as a group and talk about how awesome it is that we have our own ski field and have a few drinks.
We are going to go to a BYO restaurant (to be confirmed) aprox $15-$20 per person for the meal and bring your own bottle/bottles (or a goon paddy) of wine or beer.
This is a good way to make some connections within the club (for car pooling etc), to meet some people in the club and maybe become involved in the club.
It is also a good way for people who have never been up to our field (Temple Basin) to find out about great it really is.
In order to book a place for dinner we need to know numbers asap.
please get back to me ASAP if your keen
Cheers
Andrew
