Kingswood Ski’s Fire & Ice 2nd & 3rd August

Hey

This coming weekend is the Kingswood Skis Fire and Ice party at Temple Basin. Therefore sign up for the party will be this Wednesday, you will be able to find me outside the central Library (if fine) or in just in side the foyer depending on the weather from 12.30 to 1.30pm.

We will require a deposit of $20 for securing a position in the Varsity lodge, as in the past this event has been hugely popular with all the 120 beds on the mountain being occupied.

So what does this weekend involve?

Hucking your meat off the jump, night skiing, warming up around the bonfire or get down to the groovy sounds of The Good Bodies while drinking your booze (goon) and being dazzled by the fire-eating, fire-juggling brilliance of Pascal. Kingswood will be on the mountain dishing out prizes and demos. With even the Kingswood ski maker himself possibly throwing a few of his signature Lincoln loops off the jump.

What should I bring?

Ski/Board Gear
Alcohol, Booze, Goon
Suitable footwear
Sleeping Bag
Towel and toiletry’s
Some cash for petrol money

p.s. for those of you who haven’t heard, the weekend was epic with fresh tracks to be had by everyone on the brilliant cover that currently exist on Temple. Not to mention the snow that is predicted to fall through out the week!!!

Pre-Season turns on downhill tow (Temple Basin)

Still a bit thin at that point 2 days latter another 40cm cleaned the place up! Awesome opening weekend with lots of snow and its still early days yet.

Temple Opening Weekend!!

Well it looks like temple is opening up on Saturday for a big weekend of skiboarding action! Me and a few others where up Monday – Wednesday and the conditions where good. They are going to be getting around 30cm’s today and Friday to top things up. Remember this time of year the snow is still thin so bring a old set of gear if you can. To stay and ski at Temple you must book so remember to give them a call on +64 3 377 7788 to confirm your booking. Things are looking great for a wicked season this year so be excited. All that hard work over the last 6 months is about to be payed off in full! Its your mountain so use it!

Following all the recent cold weather we’re able to report that Temple Basin will be opening on Saturday with skiing on all three tows. This is not a maybe or reliant on getting more this week – skiing was done last weekend and will be waiting for you on Saturday.
